My First Year as a Photographer: reflection and projects
My First Year as a Photographer
Wow, what a year it’s been! So much has happened, and I’m beyond grateful for all the trust you’ve placed in me. To everyone I’ve had the pleasure of working with – you are truly amazing people, and your support has been the motivation I needed to follow my dream.
I’ve learned so much this year, and I’ve grown in ways I never imagined.
Capturing the Beauty of Pregnancy
This year, I had the honor of photographing three incredible pregnancy shoots. Each one was so unique, and all were so much fun!
The first shoot was in Mallorca – a beautiful mix of indoor and outdoor settings. Inside, I played with light and shadows, while outside, the stunning Mallorcan landscape provided the perfect backdrop.
Next was a shoot in my hometown of Stuttgart, on a gorgeous meadow. The lighting was magical and the tempratures warm. It was the perfect setting to capture intimate close-ups of the growing belly and to play around with the beautiful energy of the mom-to-be, making the entire afternoon feel both relaxed and joyful.
And the third was in Side, Turkey, where we captured a powerful moment by the sea. With the wild waves crashing in the background and the golden sun shining, it felt like the perfect mix of nature and maternity. And when we incorporated a few intimate shots of the couple together, it created the perfect blend of moments – showcasing both the beauty of the pregnancy and the deep connection between them.
Each shoot was tailored to the person and their unique character. Non were the same, but each was absolutely perfect in its own way.
A Beautiful Engagement Shoot
This year, I also had the chance to photograph a couple’s engagement. It was such an honor to capture the love and joy between them. The connection was so real and raw. It’s moments like these that make me fall even more in love with photography.
Portraits, Magazines, and More
Of course, there were some portrait sessions as well. Some for home, some for magazines, and others for websites. Speaking of which, I was beyond excited to see a few of my photos featured for the first time in a magazine – Eurowings and Donna. You can also spot my work in an article on a website!
Collaborations with Finca Amapola
I was lucky enough to shoot twice with Finca Amapola, a beautiful hotel that has so much to offer. We photographed not only the stunning property but also their products, including honey, shampoo, and more. I also had the chance to photograph their wellness offerings like yoga sessions and massages.
How Did All of This Happen?
Some of these shoots came about by chance, through conversations with wonderful people. Others came from offers that I had to wait months for before they turned into something real. And then, of course, word of mouth played a big role. I’m so grateful for every recommendation I’ve received, and I truly appreciate every person who has helped me get to where I am and all the trust you gave me for the projects we did together.
It has always been a dream to do this and it took a lot of encouragement. I'm still learning, always will, but I'm getting better, thanks to you.
Looking Ahead
I’m so excited for everything to come. If you know anyone looking for a photographer – whether for a photo shoot, products, or locations – feel free to share my contact information. I’m looking forward to another year filled with successful shoots, amazing collaborations, and beautiful moments. Ever have any questions, text me, we're all just people and can't know everything. I'm still travelling and a lot on the move but I'll be often in Mallorca or Stuttgart for Photoshoots and I might be closer to you thank you actually think. Thank you all for an unforgettable year. Here’s to many more!
